About us

The Geelong Careers Expo is an inclusive, hands-on and high-energy event created specifically for young people across the Geelong region.

Designed for students in Years 9–12, the Expo brings together a comprehensive mix of career, training, employment and support services into one powerful, inspiring day.

Hosted at the brand-new Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention & Event Centre, the event is built in partnership with industry, training providers, schools and community organisations, united to support the region’s future workforce.

Presented by the Geelong Region Local Learning & Employment Network (GRLLEN). Supporting young people across Geelong, Surf Coast, Queenscliffe and Golden Plains.

  • A comprehensive event accessible to every student, including specialist and disability-support schools.

  • Students leave inspired, informed and aware of new possibilities.

  • Real exhibitors and providers → real conversations → real next steps.

  • Education, industry and community united for a shared purpose.

  • Interactive activations, live demonstrations, and in future, a career panel.

Why is the event happening?

Geelong needed one central, high-quality careers event where young people could explore the full spectrum of opportunities available to them.

The Geelong Careers Expo was created to:

  • Bring a comprehensive range of providers together in one accessible location

  • Give students meaningful hands-on experiences

  • Expand awareness of local and external career pathways

  • Strengthen collaboration between education and industry

  • Support young people in moving confidently from school to work

It is a new event for a new generation — designed to grow with the region and become a lasting annual pillar.
